How do I ensure that only authorized users can access my content?
Customer registration (authentication) can take place via the publisher's existing online portal and is automatically forwarded to HAN. Every time online resources are accessed, they are routed via the HAN server after successful login. This checks the customer's stored access rights (authorization) and licenses and releases the online content based on the user rights.
For companies or institutions that wish to purchase concurrent licenses, their login systems (e.g. Azure AD) can be connected directly to the HAN server at the content provider. This ensures that only the available number of concurrent licenses can be used and that only the authorized groups of people or departments can access the online resource. In this way, HAN mechanisms can be used to implement a convenient single sign-on for customers.
